This Privacy Policy applies to the Whomplings mobile game and its related online services (the "Application" or "Game"), operated by Dryhola Mark, an individual entrepreneur (FOP) registered in Ukraine ("we", "us", "our", the "Service Provider"). You can contact us at mdgametechnology@gmail.com.
By downloading or using the Game, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and in our Terms of Service.
Information We Collect
When you download and use the Game, we and our service providers may collect:
Device & technical data — device model, operating system and version, language, country, IP address, and app performance and diagnostic data.
Gameplay and analytics data — anonymous analytics events describing how the Game is played, such as launches, session length, matches started and finished, level reached, and rewards received. These are recorded twice, for two different purposes: by Unity Gaming Services, which generates an anonymous installation identifier, and by Google Analytics for Firebase, which generates its own app instance identifier. Neither identifier contains your name, your email address, or anything you typed.
Advertising identifiers — your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) and related identifiers, used to deliver and measure ads (see "Advertising").
Purchase data — records of in-app purchases (transaction identifiers and what was purchased). Payment card details are handled by Apple or Google, not by us.
Online multiplayer data — when you play Battle Net: a nickname you choose or that the Game generates for you, a random player identifier created on your device, your IP address and connection quality, the game version you are running, and the in-match actions needed to keep every player's screen in step. See "Online Multiplayer" below.
Your game progress stays on your device. This holds for online play too — Battle Net matches are not saved anywhere, and nothing about how you played is kept once the room closes. Your heroes, currency, level, daily rewards, and settings are stored locally in the Game's own storage. We do not operate player accounts and we do not keep a copy of your progress on our servers.
We do not intentionally collect your real name, email address, precise location (GPS), contacts, photos, or other special categories of personal data.
How We Use Information
We use the information to: operate and maintain the Game; understand how the Game is played so we can improve balance and difficulty; deliver remote configuration values such as prices and reward amounts without shipping an update; process in-app purchases; show and measure advertising; provide support; ensure security and prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations.
Advertising
The Game is supported by advertising, including optional rewarded video ads that grant in-game rewards for watching. Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay mediation and its ad networks, which include Unity Ads, ironSource, and other mediated advertising partners. These partners may collect and process device and advertising identifiers to select, deliver, frequency-cap, and measure ads.
iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT): On iOS 14.5 and later, we ask for your permission before accessing your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking. If you do not grant permission, ads are still shown but are non-personalized, and measurement relies on Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland: We ask for your consent before analytics and advertising services start: you accept the Terms and this Policy on first launch, and on iOS the ATT prompt separately governs access to your advertising identifier. Where consent for personalized ads has not been given, ads are shown non-personalized. You can withdraw your consent at any time in your device's tracking settings, or by contacting us at the address below.
You can reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings.
The Game also offers an optional purchase that removes forced ads. Buying it does not change what data our advertising partners have already processed.
Measuring our own advertising: we also advertise the Game itself. To learn whether an advert we paid for actually brought somebody who enjoys the Game, a small number of analytics events — installing the Game, and playing a second online battle — are reported through Google Analytics for Firebase and made available to Google Ads. This is a separate purpose from showing you ads inside the Game, and it uses a separate service. On iOS it relies on Apple's SKAdNetwork and on Google's on-device conversion measurement, which is designed so that no identifying information leaves your device; it does not require your advertising identifier and is unaffected by your answer to the ATT prompt.
Online Multiplayer
The Game's Battle Net mode connects you to a shared match with other players. This is optional: the rest of the Game works fully offline, and no multiplayer data is processed until you enter the mode.
Who operates it — multiplayer is powered by Photon, operated by Exit Games GmbH (Germany). Photon runs the servers that relay the match. Exit Games acts as our processor and we remain the controller of your data, so questions and requests about multiplayer data go to us, not to them. See the Photon Privacy & Cookie Policy.
What Photon receives — your IP address (unavoidable for any online connection), a random identifier generated on your device, your chosen nickname, the version of the Game you are running, and the moment-to-moment actions of your character during the match.
What other players see — your nickname and your character's actions during the match. Please do not use a nickname containing your real name, your email address, or anything else you would not want other players to see. You can change your nickname at any time in the Game's settings.
The identifier — a random value created on your device the first time you play online, with no connection to your device's advertising identifier or to any account. It exists so that a player whose connection drops can return to the same match instead of arriving as a stranger. Deleting the Game deletes it.
Where it is processed — Photon selects the nearest available region automatically, so a match may be relayed by servers outside your own country. See "International Data Transfers".
How long it is kept — match data lives only for the duration of the room and is not stored by us afterwards. Photon retains connection logs under its own policy.
Voice and chat — the Game has none. There is no way to send text or speech to another player.
In-App Purchases
The Game offers optional in-app purchases of virtual currency and of an ad-free period. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive a confirmation that a purchase succeeded and what it contained; we never receive or store your payment card details.
Because purchases unlock content stored on your device, deleting the Game may cause purchased virtual items to be lost. See the Terms of Service for details.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Game is not a website and does not use browser cookies. Our service providers use SDK-level identifiers and similar technologies inside the app for the purposes described above. These include the anonymous installation identifier generated by Unity Gaming Services, the app instance identifier generated by Google Analytics for Firebase, and your device advertising identifier where you have allowed access to it.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
Google LLC — Google Analytics for Firebase, which records the analytics events described above, and Google Ads, which receives a small number of them so that we can measure our own advertising campaigns. See the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Privacy and Security page.
Mediated ad networks — to deliver and measure ads through LevelPlay mediation.
Exit Games GmbH (Photon) — online multiplayer matchmaking and match relay, when you play Battle Net. See the Photon Privacy & Cookie Policy.
Other players in your match — your nickname and your character's actions, for as long as the match lasts.
Authorities — when required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, and property.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, write to mdgametechnology@gmail.com.
California residents
Under the CCPA/CPRA you may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected about you, request its deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of personalized advertising, use the ATT prompt on iOS or limit ad tracking in your device settings.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland
We process your data on the basis of your consent (advertising identifiers and personalized ads), the performance of a contract (operating the Game, running the online multiplayer you asked to join, and processing purchases), and our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and improving the Game). You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International Data Transfers
We and our service providers operate internationally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including in the United States and the European Union. Unity Technologies and Google LLC are both established in the United States, and analytics data reaches them there. Online multiplayer adds a further case: Photon picks the nearest available region automatically, and its regions span Europe, North and South America, Asia, Australia, and elsewhere, so a match may be relayed by a server on another continent. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, agreed with our processors.
Data Retention
Analytics and advertising data are retained by our service providers for the periods set out in their own policies, typically no longer than is necessary for the purposes described here. Purchase records are retained as long as required by tax and accounting law. Because your game progress lives on your device, it is retained until you delete it or uninstall the Game.
Data Deletion / Opt-Out
Delete your game data: uninstall the Game. This permanently removes your progress, currency, and unlocked heroes from your device. We cannot restore them.
Opt out of personalized ads: decline the ATT prompt on iOS, or turn on "Opt out of Ads Personalisation" on Android. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, change your choice from the Game's settings screen.
Stay out of online play: simply do not enter Battle Net. Every other mode runs entirely on your device, and no multiplayer data is sent.
Delete your multiplayer data: changing your nickname in the Game's settings replaces it everywhere it is used from then on, and uninstalling the Game deletes the random player identifier from your device. For anything already in Photon's connection logs, write to mdgametechnology@gmail.com and we will instruct our processor to delete it. It helps to tell us the nickname you played under and roughly when.
Opt out of analytics: analytics collection starts only after you accept these terms on first launch. If you would rather it did not run at all, write to mdgametechnology@gmail.com and we will tell you how to switch it off, or simply uninstall the Game — nothing further is collected once it is gone.
Request deletion of analytics data: write to mdgametechnology@gmail.com and we will ask our service providers — Unity and Google — to delete the analytics and advertising data associated with your installation. We may ask you for details that help them locate it, such as your device model and the approximate date you installed the Game.
Children
The Game is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and the UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it. Where a user is identified as a child, advertising is limited to non-personalized ads.
Security
We use commercially reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Breach Notification
If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the competent supervisory authority without undue delay and, where the law requires it, inform affected users.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be announced inside the Game. Continued use of the Game after a change means you accept the updated policy.
